True, true and unrelated. That is how it is.
My friends believe my pain drives me to God
If so, by now I ought to be a spiritual whiz
Since I am not, I feel wicked, also odd
It is true pain makes one humble
But a way around heartbreak should be included
They say we are driven to face God by trouble
But since I have not arrived, they may be deluded
It is also true that pain can help with compassion
